Learn the art of Japanese floral design as we focus on the seasons finest with our own Kyoko Hasegawa. Kyoko is formally trained in Ikebana and brings a decade worth of experience to the class.During this 2.5 hr class attendees will learn Ikebana history, theory & design mechanics.
In this class we will be using a selection of locally grown peonies and other seasonal blooms. garden roses. Kyoko will teach you the basics of Ikebana design, and then show you how to create a more modern design using ikebana principles.
Local brew master, Andy Neyens will be on site for this class, providing a sampling of Sake from his Ballard-based, Tahoma Fuji Sake brewery.
